Madora Bay

Postie was engaged to develop ideas and a long-term strategy for an existing suburban block, exploring how it could support multiple generations living alongside one another over time. The proposal considered the introduction of a secondary dwelling to provide a self-contained home for an ageing grandparent alongside the existing family house. Conceived as an independent living space, the design prioritised accessibility, ease of movement and long-term comfort within a compact footprint. Rather than maximising the site, the strategy focused on adaptability over time, balancing proximity with privacy and allowing the property to evolve alongside changing family needs.
